At Linwood Pet Hospital, you’ll find a lifetime of veterinary care and support for your beloved pet.
We now offer veterinary care for an exceptionally wide range of exotic pets – from birds and reptiles to small mammals such as rabbits, rats, and guinea pigs. Exotic pets have special requirements that are greatly different from dogs and cats and it’s important to know what is involved in their care prior to bringing one home.
Our team enjoys teaching new pet parents how to provide everything needed to keep your exotic pet safe, comfortable, happy, and healthy.
Exotics Pet Consultation
This visit includes a complete physical examination, husbandry and nutritional counseling, disease screening, and laboratory testing, if necessary.
Once you welcome a new exotic pet into your family, it’s a good idea to schedule a medical exam. A complete physical helps ensure your new family member is healthy and it’s a great opportunity to learn how to keep them on the path toward a happy and healthy life.
Exotic pets are considered prey animals, which means they are experts at hiding signs and symptoms of illness. That is why we recommend annual medical examinations. By staying on top of your pet’s health, we can address any small issues before they become more advanced conditions.
Exotics Sick Consultation
When your pet does show obvious signs of illness, we are available to assist with urgent and emergency care. Please give us a call prior to arriving to ensure we can accommodate your species.
