We are excited to share that our sister location, Northfield Veterinary Center, is opening soon! Northfield Veterinary Center is a brand-new, state-of-the-art 12,000 sq. ft. hospital that will offer services including emergency, urgent care, general practice, and specialty care.
Conveniently located just 6 minutes from Linwood Pet Hospital, Northfield Veterinary Center will bring additional space, new equipment, a comfortable lobby for clients, and plans to add additional specialists – bringing new services, shorter wait times, and advanced care to patients.
Upon the opening of Northfield, Linwood Pet Hospital will transition to General Practice and Urgent Care services only.
Linwood Pet Hospital’s new hours will be:
Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 8:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
Sunday and Holidays: Closed
Based on availability, emergency visits and specialty care appointments may be seen at our sister hospital, Northfield Veterinary Center.
Northfield Veterinary Center is a sister hospital of Linwood Pet Hospital. The two locations will be connected, with the same team of doctors working at both locations. Depending on when your appointment is scheduled for and which Doctor you will be seeing, will determine which location you will be seen at for your next appointment.
Similar to Linwood Pet Hospital, Northfield Veterinary Center will also be Fear Free® certified, creating a veterinary experience that keeps your pet in a calm and happy state of mind. We will also have the same team of doctors working at both locations, providing the same great experience you have grown to expect.
By opening Northfield Veterinary Center, a 12,000 sq. ft. hospital, it will allow us the opportunity to bring new services, shorter wait times and advanced care to clients and patients within our community.
If your pet is currently being seen at Linwood and needs to be hospitalized, the doctor will recommend you transfer your pet to Northfield Veterinary Center.
We can assure you the process will be very streamlined. Once you arrive at Northfield with your pet, there will be no additional wait time to be seen and the team will be prepared and ready for your arrival.
At this time, we will not be offering transportation services between Linwood and Northfield. You will need to transfer your own pet to Northfield.
Northfield Veterinary Center’s address is 611 New Road, Northfield, NJ 08225. Located just a short 6-minute drive from Linwood Pet Hospital.
Northfield will be open 7 days a week, 365 days a year from 8:00 AM – Midnight. We will also offer 24-hour nursing care and phone triage.
Starting in June, Linwood Pet Hospital’s hours will be:

All doctors will be taking appointments and seeing patients at both Linwood Pet Hospital and Northfield Veterinary Center. Depending on which doctor you choose to see, and which location has more availability at the time of scheduling, we will determine which location you will be scheduled at to be seen as quickly as possible.
Northfield Veterinary Center is located just a short 6-minute drive from Linwood Pet Hospital. We can assure you that whichever location you are scheduled at, you will have the same fantastic experience you’ve grown to expect from us.
Should your pet experience an emergency, we ask that you visit our sister hospital, Northfield Veterinary Center. Northfield Veterinary Center will have medical staff onsite 24/7, and provide emergency care during regular business hours, from 8 a.m. until midnight daily. Once Northfield opens, you can always contact the phone triage line at (609) 277-3700 if you are unsure whether your pet needs emergency attention.
